Winnipeg, Manitoba (April 18, 2001) – Six Manitoba
organizations receive recognition for their journey to excellence. Tonight the
Manitoba Quality Network (QNET) will recognize six organizations at the 9 th
Annual Manitoba Quality Awards Gala Dinner, held at The Fairmont Winnipeg. The
Gala Dinner, with attendance of over 350 people, will feature highlights from
the six organizations and profile the achievements of their journey to
excellence.
"The organizations we are honoring at tonight's Gala Dinner have demonstrated
that they are committed to the pursuit of quality within their organization,"
says Patricia Wainikka, Executive Director of the Manitoba Quality Network
(QNET). "The application process for the Manitoba Quality Awards is rigorous
and it is impressive to see this level of commitment among the applicants."

The Faneuil Group Winnipeg Division – Gold
Level (for Excellence)
As a call centre that employs 600 people to provide complete teleservice and
integrated marketing for corporate clients throughout North America, the
Faneuil Group has been a committed participant to the Manitoba Quality Awards
process since 1996. The Faneuil Group Winnipeg Division has effectively
improved their business excellence through the bronze, silver and gold level
awards.

Since 1993, QNET has recognized nearly 60 Manitoba organization for their
achievements on the journey to excellence. The Manitoba Quality Awards criteria
and examination process are patterned after the Canada Awards for Excellence.
Each Manitoba Quality Awards applicant is evaluated against seven drivers of
quality in the Canadian Quality Criteria: Leadership, Planning, Customer Focus,
People Focus, Process Management, Supplier Focus, and Organization Performance.
Each applicant receives an award in one of three categories: Bronze for
Commitment, Silver for Achievement, or Gold for Excellence.
The Manitoba Quality Awards Gala Dinner is a celebration of these achievements
and a tribute to excellence.

The Manitoba Quality Network (QNET) is a network of individuals and
organizations focused on the pursuit of organizational effectiveness and
quality improvement. QNET provides networking opportunities (presentations and
site-tours), training events (workshops and conferences) and resources
(newsletter, web site and library of books and videos). QNET’s 700+ members
represent all sectors of the Manitoba community – service, manufacturing,
health care, government, education, and not-for-profit.
QNET was incorporated in 1995 as an independent, not-for-profit organization.
Governed by a 13 member Board of Directors who set the direction for the
organization, QNET also has full time staff who manage the operations, respond
to customer inquiries, and ensure the financially self-sufficiency of the
organization.
